Frank Cooper has been working with his hands all his life. For years he was making jewelry and leather items. In 1985 he built a "San Francisco Bay Pelican" sailboat that is still plying the waters of Northern California.
As a machinist Frank learned that to have minimal accumulation of error, all individual components must be milled to an accuracy 10x greater than required. As a Mechanical designer he used 3D modeling software to design complex scientific instruments. As a woodworker, he has combined his love for wood, ability to make parts to very close tolerances, and design skills to visualize the final product.

Frank and Lila Cooper's genuine love for nature has influenced their custom furniture making collaboration. They are inspired to create unique and functional pieces of furniture. Their commitment is to combine first-class materials and methods into a well-conceived idea, thus creating heirlooms of tomorrow for generations to come.
All materials are carefully chosen for color and grain match. In their designs use of dark mahogany and light maple create a stunning visual effect. In their search for a green solution they work primarily with reclaimed woods treated with low-toxicity finishes.
Craftsmanship and appealing proportions are the legacy of their designs. Each piece encompasses precise joinery, graceful lines, complimenting the beauty of the fine hardwoods. Their custom designs offer uniquely beautiful one-of-a-kind furniture built for the discerning and discriminating furniture lover. |

Lila Cooper, formerly Lila Hafner, is a world-renowned artist. She has participated in over 60 international exhibitions. Her paintings are included in numerous private, public and corporate collections throughout the world. The trees in her paintings have soul, a kind of human character seen through a variety of colors, shapes and sizes.
As an artist Lila is inspired to create unique and functional pieces of furniture that are in harmony with their owners and environments. By selecting wood for the projects Lila is looking for interpretations of what the wood is trying to reveal. |
